divination: blue Monday
"A poem can begin with a lie
and be torn up."
--A. Rich
Truth?
In the eyes of the needy,
what satisfies hunger is true.
I'll lick my lips on your religion--
A stick
and a candle.
nothing more is needed for belief.
North, a mind stirs
and looks
take him in
out of habit.
Here childhood has ended
in a dingy room
without romance.
reading bodies with a mouth
playing with new power
In my mind his memories have all closed
their eyes--
The future shrugs forward
what comes next?
Ask me no questions and I'll tell you
no lies--
