the new zero
April 9th: my new hobby is peeing

Well, i managed not to be home before 9 any day this week. Go me. *heh* Actually, i've been having a good time, I've just been focusing elsewhere.

So I started on the low-carb diet monday. The first few days were rough--I would have killed for a peanut butter sandwich, or some toast, or a scone with some jam. I think I've adjusted, though, and frankly I am starting to feel a whole lot better. No coughing fits after meals, or 1 p.m. cravings for sleep.

Hunger feels different now. Rather than feeling dizzy and cranky, I have twinges of dull hunger that escelate into little pinpricks of hunger. I've had to abandon my whole notion of what "full" and "empty" feel like, because they simply don't apply any more. i'm trying to keep to an eating every three hours schedule during the day, and drinking lots and lots of water. My new hobby is peeing. Exciting life I have here, eh?

Actually, I've met a couple of people in the past week or so who are interested in exploring the less-esoteric reaches of the metaphysical with me, and that's pretty cool. And ZC is starting to write again, and i'm feeling like I need to start again. I'm out of practice!

Well, not entirely out of practice, but close enough. I've also got a bunch of design work I really need to get myself working on, which will hopefully start happening next week. I'm finding myself with more energy now, and I think i can put it to good use.

Tomorrow is cleaning and cooking and going to Discovery Park if I have the energy. And right now is time for sleeping. I'm tired.

By the way First Person Plural is a really good book.
